Number Cards

Flip the card! What number will you get? Flip as many digital number cards as you’d like and play games, sort them, and more.

How do the online number cards work? Simply click and drag a card from the stack and drop it in the playing area. Then, double click the card to flip it over. Add as many cards as you’d like to the area. There are a total of 40 cards from 0 to 9. Write and erase using the pencil and eraser tools. Clear the board using the trash can tool.

How can you use the online number cards? There are many ways to have fun with this virtual manipulative. Here are a few number games to try:

  • Use the online number cards to add. Place a few cards on the board and ask students to add them together.
  • Use the online number cards to practice place value. Add three or more cards to the board. Then, ask students to say the number. You can also get students to use the pencil tool to draw the comma in the correct place to show thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands, or even millions.
  • Practice multiplication with the number cards. Put two numbers on the board and ask students to multiply them.
  • Encourage students to create their own math problems for other students to solve. Then, use the pencil tool to solve the problems together.
  • Create a chart of “even” and “odd” numbers or “prime” and “non-prime” numbers using the pencil tool. Then, sort cards accordingly.
